Phasmophobia is an infection gametype based on the ghost-hunting game of the same name. In the real game, the ghost hunters need to find evidence of the paranormal while avoiding being killed during a hunt. The same applies here.


How to play:
The main goal of the survivors is to find 5 skulls scattered throughout the map and bring them back to the building entrance to win. These skulls spawn in a random spot on the map, one at a time; so once you deliver one, another will spawn in. However, easy as it sounds, it’s not that simple; because at the same time the survivors are doing that, they have to be wary of the ghost. The ghost has no weapons, is really tiny, and is invisible (for the most part). They can stalk you around the map and can only be seen on your motion tracker when they are really close. In increasingly frequent periods, the ghost will begin a hunt: giving them a gravity hammer, removing their active camo, and making them full size; now you can die to them for a limited time. As a survivor you will know when the hunt starts by your motion tracker disappearing. The ghost has a hologram and can’t sprint so survivors can run away; however, their base movement speed is faster, so they will eventually catch up to you if you run out of stamina. After 30 seconds, the hunt will end and the ghost will shrink back down to their harmless size. Just a heads up, while the ghost is NOT hunting, you can plasma blast them to send them back to their spawn; this is to help prevent them from trapping you in a room since their hitbox appears to be the same as a full-size player; if you try to plasma blast while they are hunting, nothing will happen.

Scoring/Timer:

1 point for surviving a hunt

5 points for capturing a skull

1 point for killing a survivor

Points aren’t a factor in if you win or not, just a way to show participation/accomplishments. In order for the survivors to win, they NEED to deliver the 5 skulls. While the ghost will win if they kill all the survivors or time runs out.


Gimmick:
Just want to say it here now because people might get confused. Survivors spawn on a platform out of the map and have to jump down, take fall damage, and then teleport into the map by running to the van. This is just so they would always hear a constant heartbeat and have their immersion increased. This in turn means that there is a 10 second kill boundary on the human spawn; get the hell out of there.
