It's funny you mention this since Bungie made Spartan III's in Reach look like fucking gorillas compared to Spartan II/IV's.

Yeah, Reach though was a bad egg... It strayed from the books, and it didn't make much sense.
The variable Spartan III armour was consdirably smaller than Mjolnir Mark V armour. It also meant the bearer didn't have to be a genetically modified 8ft Monster to wear it.

I believe the change was between Halo 2 and Halo 3.
Halo 2 was prototype Mjolnir mk 6, where as 3 was standard Spartan II issue Mjolnir.
I think that guy in the armoury at the start of H2 tells you the armour is brand new and not in production yet (could be wrong)...

Well, I do know one thing: all this speculation is confirmed to be 100% true speculation ;)
So true. Speculation gets people hyped up for certain things that tie in with facts and the actual game gets people hyped when they see if what they speculated about is actually true. To write a little about the process:
He gripped the controller, beads of sweat trickle down his face in anticipation of playing as the game loads up. He smiles in anticipation as it loads up and he selects Halo 2 Anniversary in a few strokes and presses of his fingers. As he plays he notices little things that make him excited for what is yet to come and adrenaline fuels his impatience as he grows restless determined to finish the fight.

No. It wasn't then. Chief never got a chance to switch out of armor in between Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Wow sir
I can understand RPing but when you RP a guy about to play a video game

So basically I just spent 10 minutes reading wild speculation that the change of armour was 'officially' released due to the fact chief fell from space, and his armour burned up in re-entry, and basically melted, and then re-welded itself after impact. This caused the backup systems to kick in, which meant a shield that wasn't as strong or fast, and a visual difference in the HUD.
The change between H3 and H4 is (supposedly) due to all Mjolnir armour containing nanobots. Cortana upgrades the firmware of the suit, and in turn then upgrades the physical armour, repairing the molten damage from before.

yeah that's just speculation (and one that really doesn't make any sense)

As for MJOLNIR armor containing nanobots though, we do know that the Mark VII that Naomi-10 uses is based on Nanobot tech and constantly modifies itself to perform upgrades, hence why Naomi keeps on getting out of the armor. Mark VI did not have this though.

I'm so intrigued to buy the Xbox One just for this, if Destiny runs as well on the Xbone as on the PS4 it's a buy for me.

So I can join in on H2 and H5 shenanigans with all of you :) Especially since I skipped H2 alltogether and went from Halo 1 to Halo 3 immediately

Well I figured I'd try.
So nano bots huh? Sounds like it would work but how would the nano bots repair the suit without either being a part of the suit or part of the cryotube?

I am not sure how I feel about MCC yet. It is a cool concept and all but I really hope dev's don't throw together all of their old games in one package and release it for the Xbox. Other wise next year or even after that there will be a CoD game with all 6000+ CoD games on them. I just feel like it is a nostalgia factor. People have good memories on the old Halo games and when the new ones don't feel like that, the community back lashes. Then you have no motivation to try and innovate and Halo turns out just like CoD. And then what have we achieved? Nothing. Now don't get me wrong, It is important to remember our past but not to live in it.

Now economically, the MCC is a good idea. As stated already it shows what the console is capable of doing so people will want to buy it (and nostalgia factor). Instant switch from old to new graphics. Instant switch between 5 game engines (if you really want to count H5 beta). I have mixed feelings about it but I think ultimately I will see what happens. Although I think I will get it anyway cause, y'know, HaloCustoms.

It's really 6 if you count the Halo 5 beta.
