We need infection mostly with new abitlies and forge it would be awesome... Also imagine the infection design. Its gonna be sooo tight if you didn't vote for it you aren't wise

Since racetracks is all I build, I would like to see a race gametype or king of the kill so we can make it work as a race gametype. For 343 to not include gametypes such as infection, race, KOTH, ect. is foolish. I am already loosing interest in the game as it was only released 2 days ago. Without the combination of Forge and a compatible race gametype I will not continue forging in the Halo World. There are plenty of games that have my attention besides Halo 5.

Obviously, Infection and Race. But personally, and I don't care if it's superfluous or not, I really want Dominion. Because I really, really feel like I can do some cool stuff with my Defend the House gametype.
Actually, I'd be happy if I could do that on any other game mode, but Dominion is the only one I know that will actually work for it.

Now that the game is out and we're able to see the extent of the gametype options, it appears there are many missing options that were included in nearly every prior Halo game. While there are many new customs options, the game is severely lacking in many other options, many of which are crucial to minigames. Here are the missing options:

  • Unable to change the types of weapons that spawn on the map in gametype options
  • Unable to add bonus or negative points for anything besides kills, suicides, and betrayals
  • Unable to select "Random" as a weapon choice (Fiesta rendered impossible)
  • Unable to change the secondary weapon to "None"
  • Unable to modify or remove vehicle spawning in gametype options
  • Unable modify a player's ability to use vehicles
  • Unable to force colors or visual effects on players
  • Unable to change respawn traits
  • Unable to change leader traits
  • Unable to set unlimited ammo or bottomless clip on weapons (however SWAT has this enabled automatically)
  • Unable to set custom game file descriptions
  • Unable to switch teams mid-game
  • Unable to change player movement speed to 0%
  • Unable to set a fall damage modifier

This is rather odd. My only conclusion is they don't expect people to play custom games until the release of forge, but that is just stupid

I kind off enjoyed Stockpile back in Reach. It was like an Eagle's Nest sort of game type and I thought it was pretty awesome. I am a firm believer that all the classic objectives should return... hell put ALL the gametypes from previous games back in. I would like an option that can turn off the Flood effects for Spartans though.

Honestly? Invasion is what I want the most. I know we have warzone, but I want a craftable, multi staged gametype that I can tell a narrative on. I'm not much into building infection maps, so I was drawn to Invasion in reach like a moth to a flame. Loved it immensely, the potential of it was amazing.

I hope they bring Invasion back. It was sorely missed by my forge team in Halo 4.

The reason I didn't include Invasion in the poll is that it requires proprietary maps. So, they would need to completely turn around their sustain plan and create Invasion maps in order to include it, unless they went through all of the trouble of creating such a complex mode just for forgers which is quite a stretch. The Spartans vs Elites element was also central to Invasion, and there aren't even playable Elites in H5. Warzone, despite being almost nothing like Invasion, is designed to scratch that itch. So, I'm afraid we're out of luck on that front.

For the record, I love Invasion too.

Infection is the most necessary for customs in my opinion. There's no denying that it had the most suitable options for miscellaneous gametypes, such as Fat KId or Trash Compactor :cool2:

Let's also not forget Ghost Busters, Cops N Robbers, Halo, and Duck Hunt.

I think they should add ar least five of these gamemodes(or other gamemodes) after launch. The ones I chose were infection, King of the hill, and richochet(richochet was one of the best game modes in halo 4 imo)

I think they should add new game modes that contain multiple character trait groups per team ie gtaV custom games. Obviously they can't just rip off those game modes but they can give us the tools to recreate them which would build off forge quite well

-(just an idea) a forge like custom game mode where players can't edit the map but they can switch between modes freely, could be useful for some obstacle course runs, and possibly an option that can be enabled in settings where players can use increasingly more forge options depending on whats enabled, say for testing out maps or having base building contests with specific live counts, timers, and general custom game options, or just host forging
