I've never understood Mass Effect. I played for about 20 hours on the first one, hoping it'd get better, but it's just far too sluggish. I reckon it's just a game that I've gotten to too late, and now it's way outdated. I've got no patience for it.

When Super Mario Galaxy came out, I was super excited. Bought it, and then my hopefulness died and the first signs of my teenage cynicism took root. Damn game was far too easy, and left me disappointed in just about everything. A game I had once loved received a sequel that I found too easy, and aimed at the younger children. It's really disappointing, like finding out that your Kindergarten teacher was a drug user.

I bought the second mass effect, after playing it for 20mins I learnt that it was secretly just a clunky third person shooter... I've since never returned to it.

II would agree with you on CoD, although I did really enjoy CoD 4. Others would be Minecraft, any fighting game (like martial arts and junk) and Halo: Reach (I'll probably get some major hat for that one). I didn't like Reach because of the graphics, the armor, the story (had nothing to do with the Halo rings), the characters, the weapons, the maps, the campaign missions, and it didn't have Chief!

The Uncharted series. One felt like they were trying too hard to be Tomb Raider. Two was OK until the end where they randomly start questioning Drake's morality. And three felt like there were huge swathes of content missing from the story.
