Would you like to see this in the next (FPS)Halo?

The general idea is basically a Saints Row/GTA like tire system(you shoot a tire it goes flat). The problem is in an FPS like Halo it would be extremely easy to do and vehicular combat isn't very good as is. I'd think it would have to be weapon specific and with uh... "major advancements in tire technology" it would make sense that that a tire takes multiple DMR shots to blow it, and a needler could keep it inflated until the needle pop'ed. Personally, I don't think it would work but I'd like to see 343 throw it into the H5(?) Beta and it eventually become a custom games option.

Mabye a plasma pistol type thing that shoots spikes that deflate the tires for a small amount of time, similar to a emp time wise.

While this would be cool from a realism perspective, that's never been what Halo is about. In Halo 4, there is already very little incentive for players to move or use strategy and teamwork to take out enemy vehicles. This feature would further exacerbate this problem. In past Halos, players were forelced either to risk moving to gain access to power weapons, work together with teammates, or be extremely precise with frag grenades in order to take out vehicles. This risk/strategy/skill system is what balanced vehicles in previous games. In Halo 4, there is little incentive for players to do anything but spawn with plasma pistols and plasma grenades to cheaply and easily disable and destroy hostile vehicles. This is the basis for the poor vehicle balance within Halo 4's sandbox. Having a system like this would further undermine the risk/strategy/skill system that has been so integral to vehicle balance. Furthermore, the EMP feature of the plasma pistol, and previously the power drain and grenade launcher is essentially a more refined way to disable vehicles than deflating tires would be.

While this would make for an interesting addition to the suite of tweak able custom games settings, adding such features exclusively for custom game purposes is uneconomical, and essentially a waste of time for the developer. Features that impact the game's sandbox in all modes obviously come first. So, while this would visually be a cool feature, there is no reason for it to be implemented. As others have mentioned, there are bigger problems with vehicle balance in Halo 4 to worry about anyway.

You make a fair point with the risk and reward system
