Review teams have been a part of Halo forums since as long as any of us can remember. So, it's only fitting that the best Halo forum ever gets its own Review Team, right?

This is the HaloCustoms Review Crew.

What is the Review Crew?
The Review Crew is a group of individuals, handpicked by the staff and Review Crew members based on application, who serve the community by reviewing maps. Basically, the Review Crew goes about the Maps section of HaloCustoms and reviews maps in a professional, unbiased manner.

How do I get my map reviewed by the Review Crew?
If you wish to have one of your maps reviewed by the Review Crew, please post a request form in the Review Crew Review Request Thread in Forge Discussion.

Requests should be made in the following format:
Gamertag:
Map/Gametype Name:
Link to post in Maps Section:

Please remember that in order for your map to be considered for review, it must be posted in the maps section on HaloCustoms.

How do I apply to become a member of the Review Crew?
Anyone who wishes to become a member of the Review Crew (including staff members) need to submit an application to me to be considered.

Here’s the format for the application:
  1. Gamertag:
  2. Timezone:
  3. Which map genre do you prefer to review (if there is no preference, reply with “no preference”)
  4. In a couple of sentences or more, answer the following question:Why do you want to become a member of the Review Team?
  5. To the best of your ability, review one of the following three maps with a score out of 5 (reviewing more than one will not help or harm your application):

When you are finished with your application, send it to me through a private conversation on HaloCustoms. Do not post it in this thread.

It's that simple.

Also, I forgot to mention this earlier, but the Review Crew membership gives you a snazzy "Review Crew" user title and an all-access pass to the legendary Review Crew HQ!

So send in your applications everyone! We will always be looking for new members. :y:

Im going to apply although keep in mind my availability is going to be kinda limited in a month so bare with me on that end.

1. GrmnEscaltrPrty
2. CST
3. Competitive
4. I would like to become a member of the Review Team because ive always wanted to play and review maps for people. Plus my feedback is to the point and and gives the map maker a general idea of the improvements to be mad to his/her map. I also want to become a memeber because it gives me a chance to see maps that are in the works of being better and much more known, i want to see these maps first to i can point them in a direction that will have their map be talked about and featured. Lastly, i would like to become a member because i would like to help all those forgers to construct better maps.
5. Ok so im going to review Green Lantern. The map is great and the track for the vehicles is the perfect size for all those chaotic tumbles over the side wall. Although the map works great a few things to be pointed out. You can run the map which i guess could be implemented as an honor rule system but back to the point. So you can run the map which is cheating because no one can knock you off, that basically means the defensive team (the ones trying to knock the others off) just lost ultimately. The map could be improved aesthetically, i.e. add something to go along the sides of the map. The gameplay is smooth and timing is everything in this map so carefully time those Regen fields otherwise you're gonna miss your chance! This concludes Green Lanterns pros and cons

Sorry i was sleepy when i read this.... Should I just um tell you again in a 'conversation' or no.... Hopefully that doesn't ruin my chances though...

Just send it in a conversation. It helps me keep track of them later on when I go over them with my hiring staff (or whatever you call the group that picks new members).
