The only time I think behavior is really a factor for custom games would be if someone is trying to film some footage and wants serious Flood gameplay. No teabagging the last man standing and playing a bit more seriously and team oriented as a human. People are gonna always say what they feel in a custom, like I am always going to be bad to play minigames. I usually let the host know I don't like minigames. But that's what choosing the custom lobbies you attend is for. I don't have to join minigame lobbies, instead I play Flood. If you don't like what someone is saying mute them. Don't make a thread complaining about it. At least keep that stuff in pm's.

Most hosts know how to deal with "Negative Nancies/Debbie Downers" (the latter not specifically referencing :masterdebaytes: of course :p). At the same time, people can be negative correctly. Mindless hating is one thing. Meaningful criticism that has reasons to back it up is actually good for everyone. Whether it's a forger looking for improvements, or a game host that needs some help with content selection, people saying what they need to has only benefited the community as a whole.

You guys arent seeing the big picture. There are players who don't want to have fun at all. They just want to critisize, whether contructive or not. It seems to be all they want to do. Constant contructive critisism is not whatsoever okay, I don't care the circumstance. A player can give advice if they want, but if the forger isn't there, and the map is still very playable, then why are you still complaining? And when someone mentions the person doing this, they claim that they are not complaining, but simply helping. I just miss the old days, when it really didn't matter if the map was subpar or superb; people still found ways for it to be fun. Yes, if the map is outright terrible and not playable then I understand. But that's not the situation anymore. It comes down to whether people want to have fun, or they constantly pick at maps for perfection. Simply muting the person stirs conflict, so that's not a solution. I simply ask that people wait until after the game is finished (that is, a map and game type that are still able to have fun with) before they disect it. It's very depressing when you hear a million "there should be this"s and "this would be better if"s when the map has potential. Keep it to yourself or be patient please. Constructivism is a cousin of complaining and they both sway the mood and overall feel of a lobby. The sense of enjoyment leaves with that person critisizing. What I'm trying to say is: video games are fun. Halo is a video game. Can we save the helpful tips and constructive critisism for your friend Bob who is opening a bussiness or something in the real world?

Constructive criticism, genuinely presenting a suggestion which would improve the map, and make it MORE fun to play, is not the same as complaining. Constructive criticism is the best kind of criticism you could ask for, so for you to complain about that specifically is absolutely ludicrous.

If someone feels that they have an idea or change which would add to others' enjoyment of the map, regardless of whether the map creator is present in the lobby, why shouldn't they be able to present and discuss their idea with others in the lobby to receive feedback on whether it's a good idea or not?

We should be striving for improvement in our custom games, not ignoring their flaws. The state of Halo 4 has no bearing on that.

So now you're both taking something completely out of context and making a joke about it. Seriously? You disregarded everything I just said. Rediculous :/

We read what you had to say, and we had a very short answer to your flawed logic that you provided. Nowhere to be seen is any sort of joking matter in our opinions.

Constantly and repetitively announcing the same criticism.

Hey man I think you missed my correction^^^

Oh my god you just said "discussing" the flaws. Are you shitting me? The kind of negativity that we're talking about is far from discussing. Did you even read my reply?
How can one have an appropriate discussion on this website without any consideration for the other person's opinion ever being presented. Everyone always thinks they're fucking right and no one sees the other's perspective. As far as people "presenting" their ideas, is "this map is bullshit" and repating the EXACT THING OVER AND OVER what you have in mind? Thats what I was referrin to in my reply, and if that as apparent to you then you didnt even read it. And when did I say that we should ignore the flaws of maps? Never. I didn't say that. I said that the dzcznt maps should be enjoyed at firsr then discussed after the match is finished. So now you're putting word in my mouth
