What website do you use. Photo Bucket seems to be having problems right now. I can't see haft of them eather.

Lol yeah, I didn't realize some of my buildings would look so drastically different when I used this pack. On "The Box" I am replacing the polished diorite with quartz, so it should look a lot nicer

I haven't been on the server too much in the last few weeks, as I've been off in moody mod land making windmills and summoning demons. I thought I'd leave a few pictures of my WIP base for you guys. For those who follow mods, I'm playing the 1.7.10 pack The Dark Trilogy on the Feed the Beast launcher.

Well, look what I found in my phone's photo archive: an old sketch up building I did a few years ago. It has since been lost and forgotten, but I liked the look so much, I think I will make it on the server. I figure the base will be 81 blocks by 81 blocks. Wish me luck

And my tower is finally complete! Took quite a few weeks and a lot of redesigning the roofs, but I am finished with this project.

After discovering deathwish had heavily griefed Snake's base in the Wilds after initially raiding it because of a fluke (which had earned deathwish the infamous 'heretic' title), Snake put a bounty on his head for doing so and I took Snake up on the opportunity as I am admittedly an addict for diamonds as we all know how scarce they are in the Wilds. Following the discovery, deathwish just so happened to join the server, so I gear up with an invisibility potion, my sword and trusty bow, Bowius Maximus. I proceed to lure him into the wilds by falsely claiming his nether hut near spawn had been completely obliterated. Because of this, he foolishly leaves the Wild's safe zone and after taking a swig from my invisibility potion, I stalk him up to his nether hut. I enter the doorway of the hut to see deathwish confused and I take this as my chance to strike him down with only one arrow shot by Bowius Maximus. The tyrant was no more.

Ok, after 1 week of work, this is my progress so far on the tower:

I plan on making the interior before I work on phase 2 of the build

right now it looks like a rocket floating on water ready to take off. But It's coming. I have plenty of resources for you if you need them. After making mob spanner.

That will be addressed in phase 2. But any and all cobblestone and dirt donated is appreciated

Not a terrible mod, but extremely grindy

Grindy to the point where I can't ever get to tier 3 because I need a shitload more blood than I can ever seem to generate and I can never get a decent working spawner.

Terrible is the wrong adjective, but grindy mods are just annoying and frustrating. It's been like this for so long and it needs balancing.

Terrible is the wrong adjective, but grindy mods are just annoying and frustrating. It's been like this for so long and it needs balancing.

Maybe you're doing it wrong? I had no trouble getting a tier 4 altar up and running fairly quickly. I started putting all of my efforts into Runes of Self Sacrifice early on, so that by the time I was able to make a Well of Suffering I was able to dump 1000 LP into the altar per heart. Then, as it was easy as hell to make things at this point, I swapped all of the self sacrifice runes for Runes of Sacrifice and installed a huge Cursed-Earth mob spawner down below. I literally could not run out of blood without spamming 1 million LP rituals.

Next time around I'm planning to stick with a purely self-sacrifice altar. I found the Well of Suffering/ big mob grinder setup a bit overpowered in the end and I want to keep it a bit of a challenge. The mod definitely didn't feel grindy to me by any means, it's all about finding systems that allow you to put more blood into it faster.
