Gaming Minecraft

I made this thread to discuss Minecraft, I know lots of people who both forge and play minecraft because they have similar concepts. I would like to know what you guys think. PC vs Xbox, do you like mods?, what kind of mods?, options/suggestions, ect. and frankly, I have no idea why this hasnt been posted here before, unless it was farther back and I didnt see it.

oddly enough, there is not a minecraft thread yet! surprising, since so many people, including myself, are or were totally addicted at one point.

PC >>>>>>> any other minecraft. not being able to make my own skins just sounds so sad. and mods and such rule, it makes the game last once you get sick of playing it bare.

Hmm, Interestingly enough, I'm impartial to both types. I have the Xbox version, but I can see where others would enjoy the PC/Mac version. My current creation is building a Vault that would serve as a secondary Fortress when the First one becomes unnecessary. Plus, I love building bunkers and the like.

hm I have the xbox version as well so i can play with friends that only have it on Xbox. But i would have to say the PC version is 100 times better. It includes so much more and it really isn't a competition since PC is the main version, its more updated, there are mods, there is skin edit, servers, editable worlds (flat and such), a bigger community, less lag (depends on computer but in general), editable visual settings, commands, world edit (I know its a mod but its still worth mentioning because it is so useful), adventure/survival maps, ect.

I definitely enjoy the PC version more so. I go on and off of being addicted to this game. Me and my friend run our own server for ourselves and a couple of friends, and everytime we start the server from fresh, I end up spending hours playing.

Minecraft. Just the sound of that word makes me want to puke.
It seems like every time I get a friend from Halo, when I need him to populate a custom game, he's off playing minecraft, "enjoying the view" or something like that. They are stealing our players.

I turn dynamic lighting off. It runs better that way. Also this is PC version, not xbox

And lowered your view distance. I lower it when my world first renders in, can imagine abit of lag from all the structures thought. I love mods on PC minecraft, Feed the Beast is a good alternative to Tekkit. Only problem I get from these mods is fps drop but it isnt too bad. Worth getting and adds so much.

Mods are okay as long as they're used correctly, and of course never interfere with another player in a negative way. I never played minecraft though, I'm sticking to Forge

i used to think minecraft was some stupid game... I later found out that I'm a total idiot and minecraft is the best thing that happened to me since forge. I basiclly takes forge and expands it infinitely. Recently, I have been working on a zombie apocalypse map and have found the infinite everything has been VERY useful.
