Mine says proficient. I think they go up the ranks the more you post or something. They certainly have nothing to do with true talent or skill, that much i know...

Maybe they have something to do with "who you know" here...??

LOL... it's just one of those things that you sit back and laugh at while trying to find something meaningful to read around here... All forums have them...

Titles fall under two categories: Trophy-based and all the others.

As you may have picked up on, you can earn Trophy Points on the site for various reasons. Usually they are based on how many posts/likes/etc. that you receive by participating on the site. You can find a complete list here. These ranks are similar to the Commendation ranks in Halo 4. I'm pretty sure it goes Novice --> Qualified --> Proficient --> Adept --> Expert --> Master. The more Points you have, the higher your title is.

The other ones are designated to you by Staff. I have access to two of these titles, actually. I won the Top 10 clips for Round 1 of our 1v1 competition, so I unlocked "Deadeye Assassin". My current one, "Review Crew", is because I'm a competitive reviewer for the website.

Those are member titles.

Special ones would be,
  • Staff and Admin user titles
  • Gold Host. Awarded for getting 100 positive host ratings.
  • Review Crew. Member of the Review Crew.
  • Misc. These are those awarded to members who've won a contest. Like Z3MAST3R and Jesus in Malibu using "Flaming Ninja" and "Phantom of the Forum" respectively.
I don't have the regular member titles memorized. Some are Expert, Proficient, and Qualified. The highest rank you can get as a regular member is "Master."

I guess I can chime in here on the standard member titles. :)
  • Novice: 0-9 points
  • Qualified: 10-19 points
  • Proficient: 20-39 points
  • Adept: 40-59 points
  • Expert: 60-79 points
  • Distinguished: 80-99 points
  • Master: >100 points
It might be worth considering changing this up a bit sometime. Thoughts/suggestions?
