Anchor 9 - Halo Reach

A faithful remake of Anchor 9 from Halo: Reach. 4-12 mans.

I've had this map made for a while now, but I'm just now posting it here.

I chose to remake Anchor 9, because nobody has successfully pulled it off before (as far as I know) and because Anchor 9 is the very last small/medium sized map released by Bungie for the Halo franchise, so I thought it would be great to have in MCC.

This map was created in Halo 2 Anniversary on Nebula and is on scale with the original Anchor 9 and set up for all game types the original had that are available in MCC. I did my best to keep it to scale with the original without making it too ugly to admire, and even adjusted the height of the upper floors to work better with Halo 2's jump height. I used 2 TVs, with the original map on one TV, and MCC on the other, and I used respawn zones for scaling.

After finishing the map, I actually spent more time going around the map and supplementing some pieces for others, for example, I would use one 10x10 block in place of four 4x4s just to keep the object count down to a minimum, and since I copied the spawns and game type settings directly from Reach (which caused a cluster-eff of problems), I had to spend another day testing and tweaking the settings so that everything worked like they did in the original. (Damn you Assault!) lol...

The respawn points in the original were actually quite a mess and very unsymmetrical, so I took what I thought seemed the best for each area, and made them symmetrical on both sides of my map. (Red side and Blue side, the same.) I also removed Orange and Green Team's Assault and CTF settings, because they were never used and so insanely imbalanced in the original. Objectively, my map is Red vs Blue only for CTF and Assault. I added the Ricochet game type too.

To download this map, go to your Roster in MCC, go to your own name, then go to Find Player, search my GT: Larry Tanng to find my file share.

Also in my file share is the "Unanchored" variant of Anchor 9 as well as two accurate remakes of Uncaged from Reach in both H2A and H4. I also remade some MLG maps and game types, plus a bunch of playable board games. Enjoy!

NOTE: If the map seems too dark for your TV, add a Nova FX to it in Forge to lighten it up a bit. This is untested with 8 players, so I don't know how it will affect the frame rate yet.
