So alot of people like the SMG and I thought it would be cool to have in H5, but there is a good chance Duel-Wielding won't be in. My question is would you use/like the Halo 3: ODST scoped SMG in Halo 5 as a loadout weapon?

Because it was weak. Weaker, high fire rate weapons can be used properly in high-damage gametypes.
Because the surpressor is only useful for close-range, whereas the ODST SMG can play medium-range. Plus, the surpessor is a forerunner weapon.
Yeah, I'd love to see the SMG make a comeback. Although dual-wielding would bring back amazing halo memories, even without it, it would be great to have the SMG back in halo. Ever since it was on the cover of Halo 2, I've seen it as a somewhat symbolic weapon for the series and was sad to see it go. Also, as Berb mentioned before me, it would be a nice new touch for custom gametype modifications.
The smg from odst was beast. If we get duel weilding in h5, it would need to be nerfed but even if we dont i still wanna see it in the game
I think it would be a good edition to put into Halo 5, I don't see it being a problem with balance in matchmaking.
i didnt really like the normal variant and i think a silenced version doesnt really fit into the multiplayer palette
