could they both be the same thing.
However in reveal "halo the television series" was called just that,
maybe neither are the tv series but both are other spin-offs of halo or maybe the same thing, there is very little way of knowing.
EG, for years we called next gen xbox, "xbox 720" turns out it's called xbox one(
