Ethereal (version 3.0) - Ethereal v3 is a symmetric 1v1 / 2v2 map.

This is the third and final version of this map.

Changes:

- Instead of 1x1 blocks in the middle, I put huge pillars for better cover.
- I replaced most wall coliseums with window coliseums to let much more light in.
- Instead of Ordnance drops, I put Classic weapon spawns since the map isn't even that big.
- Colored some pieces for more variation.
- Added more aesthetic vehicles that can be viewed by...

The moment you spawn, it is located to your right.

Tip: It's beside a window and directly in front of a grav lift.

Since the map is symmetric, the sniper's location is the same for both teams.
OK.
This may just be me, but I think that having snipers at the spawn may make a lot of people disinclined to actually leave spawn.

I think that on a 1v1 and 2v2, it all boils down to how well you can deal with and use a sniper.

Take MLG Sanctuary for example. As far as I know, it is the most played 1v1 map by Halo pros. (Or by anyone. I'm not 100% sure.)

Now, that map has two snipers as well but I've never seen anyone stay and camp at their base the whole time they have a sniper. They move out and try to find a place where they can use the sniper to their advantage and it usually works out pretty well for them.

But to each his own.
