Understanding the maps in the database

The BIOC Flood map database accommodates many Flood maps all built in different styles. Different styles of maps change how the player moves around and plays. It is important that a player understands the three main branches of Flood maps and how they generally play. Here in Part 1 the most common style of Flood maps will be covered; Free Roam. Part 2 houses all the other types of Flood maps as well as a collection of universal gametypes.

Free Roam
The most common branch falls somewhere in the middle between Linear Progression and Holdout. These medium to large sized maps stress exploration through the map to find places to holdout. A fair bit of movement; lots of exploration.
