The flames slowly vanish and all that's left behind is the ashes of what used to be a home. They lurked in abandoned buildings and led terror down the streets. Evacuation was useless once they revealed themselves. No place to run or hide as they sniff you out and impale their teeth on your skin.
Strong soldiers were sent in to analyze what was left and take back what they can.
