Starkiller is an asymmetrical 2v2 map designed to create vertical, acrobatic gameplay. It is my attempt to revisit my 1v1 map, Behind the Sun, and to rectify some of that design's shortcomings while also molding it into a better 2v2 experience. Visually, the map draws inspiration from The Force Awakens' Starkiller Base as well as from some Destiny concept art.

The map is still in the early stages and will likely go through several changes over the course of testing. I also intend to continue to refine the visuals. Feel free to download the most up-to-date version here and give it a spin!

It's got a very star wars feel to the map, specifically from the first prequel movie.

Do we have to listen to this while playing?

Not going to lie, the general theme and color scheme is screaming 'Impact' from Halo 4 to me, which is not necessarily a bad thing (unless you include those overused hamster tube pieces :p).

There's definitely some inspiration here from Duel of the Fates, the Death Star, the Carbonite freezing area, and Starkiller Base.
Not going to lie, the general theme and color scheme is screaming 'Impact' from Halo 4 to me, which is not necessarily a bad thing (unless you include those overused hamster tube pieces :p).
So... my map is a mix of the Star Wars prequels and Halo 4? What have I done? ;(

Unfortunately, the new update really broke lighting on this map. ;(

So, I'm working on fixing that while also making gameplay adjustments informed by the first round of testing.
